Do Not Be Afraid: Hope

This year’s Advent worship series, called “Do Not Be Afraid” centers us on God’s message to those that first Advent and to us now, two thousand years later. Through worship together, our Advent devotionals, and times of fellowship and service, we will draw near to the grace and goodness of God even in challenging seasons. As our scripture library attests, God’s perfect love we experience in Christ casts out fear!

This season, discover how scripture intricately weaves a tapestry of hope, resilience, and trust in God's guiding hand, inviting each of us into a journey of faith that transcends fear, embracing the transformative power of God's unwavering love, and God’s hope-filled invitation: Do Not Be Afraid. It is a message of faith and hope and love we need all year long!

Join us this Sunday as we begin with the Hebrew prophet Isaiah, a place that Jesus and Jesus followers found a vision of God’s eternal love. And join us for all the great and meaningful opportunities to connect with God, each other, and our community this season. You can find all the opportunities this season at fumcdenton.com/christmas.
