High Schoolers go to Long Beach

Last week, a group of high school students and volunteers went to Long Beach, Mississippi to join youth groups from Houston and Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, to do home improvements as a part of UM Army. Our team built the wheelchair ramp you see here. This ramp allows a gentleman to leave his house without the assistance of his wife and daughter. We made a difference in his life and his family’s life. With construction in the morning and worship in the evenings, we learned to both serve and remember how God has blessed us to be a blessing.  Big thanks go out to Kent Carpenter, Shelby Benton, Doug Renner, and Kaylee Buchanan for doing all the work of adult volunteers. Thank you also to you for supporting this trip through participating in our fundraisers. And a special thanks to Jack, Nick, Parker, and Nate for coming on the trip and making it such a great experience.
