Children are important members of the First UMC-Denton church family. Children's Ministry of First United Methodist Church of Denton strives to facilitate growth in faith and to provide a nurturing environment in which that growth takes place. The newly constructed East Wing of the church offers expanded, innovative learning space to be used on Sundays and throughout the week for children of the Denton community. Children's Ministry utilizes approximately two-thirds of the new space, with nursery and pre-school space on the 1st floor and space for Kindergarten - 5th on the 2nd floor.
Summer Camps will be offered by the Children's Day Out Program on Tuesdays / Wednesdays / Thursdays, 9:00 am - 2:00 pm, during the summer weeks in 2010. Campers will be placed in age-appropriate groups based on age as of 9/1/09. The cost of each 2010 camp is yet to be determined. Each camper is expected to bring a lunch and drink each day; other snacks are provided. For more information, contact Kay Jennings.
