Stephen Ministers

Stephen Ministry, is an international program in which our congregation participates. It equips lay persons to provide confidential one-to-one care to those who are experiencing all kinds of life needs and circumstances. Stephen Ministers work with the pastoral staff to reach more people with Christian care than the pastors can reach by themselves.

Stephen Ministry is based on the idea that all Christians are ministers. Stephen Ministers are people with special gifts for caring, who use those gifts to bring Christ’s love to people in need. After extensive training, some of the needs the Stephen Minister addresses include grief, terminal illness, retirement, hospitalization, loneliness, job loss, relocation, empty nests, as well as many other stresses or challenges.

Lisa Marshall will help with referrals to Stephen Ministers.
