Care Overview
Prayer Ministry Team
“He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer.’” (Matthew 21:13)
The FUMC Denton Prayer Ministry offers several opportunities where you can serve the prayer needs of our church.
Prayers of the People – This group of persons (intercessors) have made a commitment to pray at least once
a week for the needs of the church, its staff and ministries, and for prayer requests made during each Sunday’s worship
services.
A request for prayer can be made during worship by filling out one of the prayer request cards found in the pews. The cards
are collected, and the requests are lifted up in the pastoral prayer. The prayers are then added to the weekly intercessory
prayer list (unless the request is marked confidential).
Prayer Chapel – The Chapel (across from the Columbarian near Cole Chapel) is open during regular church
hours. It is available to all who desire a quiet space to reflect and pray.

Home Communion
Home Communion enables those members who are unable to attend regular worship services to receive communion in their homes.
On the first Sunday of the month, lay volunteers go into the community and serve those who desire to receive communion.
If you would like to receive communion in your home, please contact the church.
